Greystanes: Three charged after loaded shotgun, jerry cans found in allegedly stolen car

Three men have been charged and another is on the run after police allegedly found a loaded shotgun and jerry cans inside a stolen SUV in Sydney.
Police allege four men wearing balaclavas were spotted inside a black SUV on Regina St in Greystanes at about 5.25pm on Monday.
The driver allegedly sped away as officers approached the vehicle, sparking a pursuit.

The SUV hit a parked car during the chase, with its occupants getting out and trying to flee through the streets on foot.

Two men were chased down and arrested by police. A third was arrested with assistance from the dog unit and Polair.
Police say a loaded shotgun and two jerry cans were found inside the SUV, which was allegedly stolen from Balwyn in Melbourne.
The three men - aged 19, 20, and 22 - have since been charged.
The 19-year-old Woodcroft man was charged with possess unauthorised pistol, face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, acquire etc firearm – subject to prohibition order, passenger not disclose driver’s/other passenger’s identity, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, and enter enclosed land (not press premises) without lawful excuse.
The 20-year-old Penrith man was charged with possess unauthorised pistol, police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, not give particulars to other driver, unlawfully possess thing resembles etc number plate, not comply P2 licence condition not display P plates, face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, and driver not disclose identity of driver/passenger as required.
The 22-year-old man, from Woodcroft, was charged with possess unauthorised pistol, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner and passenger not disclose driver’s/other passenger’s identity.
All three men have been refused bail and are expected to face Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday.
Police are still on the hunt for the fourth man.
