“We’re very fortunate the injuries weren’t fatal,” he said.
The groom was one of the two passengers who sustained serious injuries but is now in a stable condition.
The other four occupants are being assessed for varying injuries not believed to be serious.
A crime scene has been established and police are investigating the cause of the accident.
Mr Laksa said there was no information nor indication that alcohol was a factor at this time.
The accident follows the horrific Hunter Valley bus crash in June 2023, which killed 10 people and injured 25.
The vehicle entered a roundabout on Wine Country Drive on the way to Singleton after a wine estate wedding at an estimated 52km/h.
The driver, Brett Andrew Button, 60, was sentenced in September 2024 to a maximum jail term of 32 years with a non-parole period of 24 years.
