Mascot Airport death: Emergency services unable to revive man after he collapsed in the train station

Emergency services tried in vain to assist a man who collapsed and died in the train station at Sydney’s Mascot Airport on Sunday.

Shortly before 11pm on Sunday Ambulance NSW and police responded to reports of a concern for welfare at the Domestic Terminal Railway Station, Mascot, after the man was seen to collapse at the location.

NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR, but he died at the scene.

Officers from South Sydney Police Area Command established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the matter.

Whilst yet to be formally identified the man is believed to be aged in his 30’s.

It is expected that a forensic examination of the man will be made in the coming days.
