An elderly man is now in a serious condition after being coward punched outside a pre-poll voting centre in the Prime Minister's electorate.

A second incident has occurred at an early voting centre 10 days out from the federal election.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with intimidation after allegedly kicking a number of signs and becoming aggressive towards three volunteers, in particular a 32-year-old woman, in Macquarie Park in Sydney’s north-west.

None of the volunteers were physically harmed and the man left the scene. He was later arrested at a Macquarie Park unit and has been granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on June 2.
