Rescue services pronounced a man dead after his car collided with a tree near Dubbo

Emergency services were confronted with a terrible scene after a man was killed following a car collision with a tree.

The man died following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s west overnight.

Just before 9pm on Saturday yesterday, emergency services were called to Obley Road, Dubbo, following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers attached to the Orana Mid Western Police District found a vehicle had hit a tree.

The driver, a 23-year-old man, died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
