A music teacher who taught students at several private schools is accused of producing child abuse material and indecently recording a child.
A music teacher who taught at several private schools across Perth allegedly produced child abuse material and indecently recorded a child.
Police charged David Matthew Hicks, 34, after they allegedly found child exploitation material on several of his electronic devices during a search of his home.
Detectives were investigating allegations the music teacher acted inappropriately towards children.

Detectives charged the man with three counts of producing child exploitation material and two counts of indecently recording a child over 13 and under 16.
He faced the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Thursday.
A Catholic Education WA spokesman said they implemented a child safe framework at all their schools, which included policies, training and programs to ensure children were safe and supported during their time at school.
“As this matter is now with the WA Police we will be making no further comment,” a spokesman said.
