Emergency services treat a man after he was ejected from car following truck crash in Wanneroo, Perth

Emergency services were confronted with a terrible scene after the driver of a hatchback was ejected from his car following a crash with a truck in a suburb outside of Perth.

Officers from the road policing group North are seeking information regarding a serious crash that occurred in Wanneroo on Wednesday.

At about 1.35pm, a red Mitsubishi Colt hatchback and a silver Isuzu tray-top vehicle towing a blue trailer collided at the intersection of Dundebar and Franklin Roads.

The 24-year-old male driver of the hatchback was thrown from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. He was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for medical treatment.

The male driver (53) and male passenger (54), of the Isuzu were not injured.

Investigators are urging anyone with any information relating to this crash, or who saw either the red Mitsubishi Colt hatchback or the silver Isuzu tray-top towing a blue trailer, travelling in the area before the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
