Police are searching for information after an elderly man was stabbed while on his morning walk early on Thursday morning.
Police are searching for information after an elderly man was stabbed while on his morning walk in Melbourne’s north west early on Thursday morning.
Police say the 68-year-old man was walking near Ginier Railway Station on the intersection of St Albans Road and Mulhall Drive at 3.20am when he was stabbed.
The perpetrator, who is described by police as a Caucasian man with a “solid build”, was seen running from the incident towards Mulhall Drive.

“(The victim) managed to contact a family member who called police before he made his way home and was treated by ambulance paramedics,” a police statement said.
“At this stage the motivation surrounding the incident is unclear as no demands or exchange or words was involved.”
