Update on baby critically injured in pram fall at Mount Compass

An infant who was rushed to hospital after a freak fall at Mount Compass is believed to no longer be critical.

More details about how a baby was critically injured when she fell from a pram in South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula have been revealed.

It understood a two-year-old sibling was pushing the baby in the pram when the accident happened about 3pm on Wednesday at Mount Compass, 58km southeast of Adelaide.

Paramedics said the baby, believed to be younger than a year old, was critically injured.

She was airlifted to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

The baby’s condition has since improved and is not considered critical.
