Police release footage of the suspected unoccupied L-plater moments before he allegedly crashed, killing a jogger in Brisbane.

CCTV footage has captured the terrifying final moments before a Brisbane jogger was killed by an out-of-control car.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was jogging on Kessels Rd in Coopers Plains when she was struck by a Mitsubishi Lancer, believed to be allegedly driven by an unaccompanied L-plater, that veered off the road and flipped about 4.50am on Thursday.

The footage shows three cars, believed to be a sedan and two utes, travelling behind the Mitsubishi Lancer shortly before the crash.

Those three drivers are urged to contact police.

Road safety advocate Glynn Harness lost his daughter Yasmine when she was hit by a car while walking to work in 2017.

“You can make all the laws in the world, but people have to listen to the laws and obey them,” he told 7NEWS.

“Take those kids to a morgue, scare them into being better drivers.”
