Two Queensland police officers have been suspended after being charged with possessing child abuse material.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson revealed on Wednesday that a 30-year-old male senior constable from the Brisbane region was charged after allegedly obtaining child abuse material while he was off-duty.
The officer was charged with one count of using a carriage service to access child abuse material and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 13.

The second, a 27-year-old male constable from the Northern Region, is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on February 18.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the service faces serious allegations of misconduct,” the spokesperson said.
“This does not mean that the allegations against the members have been substantiated.”
