Wild pursuit: Charges laid after truck ploughed through cars during QLD and NSW police chase
Police in two states have scrambled to control a wayward truck that ploughed into cars as a man attempted to escape arrest.
The 27-year-old man was finally taken into custody following a string of alleged dangerous driving incidents across the Gold Coast yesterday.
It is alleged that just after 1pm, a prime-mover truck was being monitored by Polair as it crossed the New South Wales border into Queensland.

A tyre deflation device was successfully deployed just before 1.30pm on the M1 at Currumbin Waters.
The truck allegedly drove in the wrong direction along the motorway before coming to a stop near Yatala a short time later.
The driver, a 27-year-old New South Wales man, allegedly left the scene on foot and was taken into police custody nearby.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital and was released overnight.
He has been charged with eight offences including one count each of wilful damage, drink driving, driving without a licence, and possessing property connected to a drug offence, and four counts of fail to comply with duties of driver involved in a crash.
The 27-year-old was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court today, June 21.
