There are fears for a young boy and a man who were struck by a car south of Brisbane on Sunday.

The man – believed to be in his 30s – and primary-school-aged boy both suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash on Green Rd at Regents Park at about 11am, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.

Green Rd remains closed in both directions just east of the Mount Lindesay Highway, with emergency crews still at the scene.

Police are warning motorists to avoid the area or expect delays.
