Woman fighting for life after reported stabbing in Coomera.

An Uber driver is in a critical condition after being repeatedly stabbed by a passenger at a Gold Coast shopping centre overnight.

Emergency services were called to Westfield Coomera on Foxwell Road just after 1.25am on Tuesday, following reports a 32-year-old woman had been attacked.

Police say the woman was stabbed multiple times, including to the neck and face.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed that shopping centre security staff rushed to her aid before paramedics arrived.

She was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.

A crime scene has been established as detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing, with the attacker still on the run.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam vision from the area to contact investigators immediately.
