Young woman killed and four others injured as car crashes into pole in Toowoomba

A young woman is dead and four other people have been rushed to hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Queensland overnight.

The crash took place in Kearney Spring, Toowoomba about 11.30pm on Sunday.

A silver Mazda was travelling along Spring St when it left the road and crashed into a pole, killing a 22-year-old female passenger.

Three other passengers, a 17-year-old girl, 20-year-old woman and 20-year-old man, were taken to hospital.

The driver, a 16-year-old boy, was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigations are ongoing and any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, is asked to come forward.
