Young woman killed, two injured in head-on crash linked to suspected hoon meet-up at Lake Wivenhoe, Queensland
The two cars collided while travelling in opposite directions late Saturday night.

A young woman has died and two others have been rushed to hospital after a head-on crash linked to a suspected hoon meet-up.
A white Holden Commodore and a black BMW travelling in opposite directions collided head-on on the Brisbane Valley Highway at Lake Wivenhoe in southeast Queensland about 11.10pm on Saturday, police said.
The driver of the Commodore, a 23-year-old woman from Bracken Ridge, died at the scene.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Her passenger, a 24-year-old man from Mango Hill, suffered significant pelvic and leg injuries and was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the BMW, a 30-year-old woman from Coominya, was also taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Queensland Ambulance Service said she also suffered significant pelvic and leg injuries.
Police said they were investigating reports the Commodore had been travelling with a large group of vehicles seen in the area moments before the crash.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant dashcam footage has been urged to come forward.
