Saturday Lotto: Hunt over as winner of $1.8 million ticket claims mammoth jackpot prize
A lucky punter has come forward to claim a stunning Lotto win, revealing how they found out they’d won and their plans to spend their newfound fortune.

The hunt for a mystery Lotto winner is over after a Sydney woman came forward to claim her life-changing win.
Lottery officials earlier issued a public appeal urging players to check their tickets, fearing the owner of the unregistered ticket was completely unaware of their newfound fortune.
It can now be revealed that a woman from the Sydney suburb of Belmore is the rightful owner of the Saturday Lotto ticket, which is now worth a staggering $1.8 million.

“I haven’t stopped crying. I’ve never had so much money in my life!” she said.
“I woke up really early on Sunday morning. It was 4am and I couldn’t go back to sleep, so I checked the Lotto results. That’s when I saw I’d won $1.8 million!
“I had to check it four times. I couldn’t believe it.”
The woman, who is now tasked with the excitement of deciding how to spend her riches, said she isn’t short on ideas.
“I won $100 last year, and I thought, ‘Well, that’s my luck used after 40 years of playing’. I guess not!
“Now I have this, I can buy a unit. I’ve only ever rented.
“I’d love to also go to the Greek islands for a holiday.”
The winning ticket, purchased from Belmore Newsagency, was one of 11 slips sold nationwide to bag a hefty slice of the whopping $20m jackpot.
In a stunning twist, the woman revealed she had only recently started buying her tickets from the newsagency.
“Funnily enough, I used to go to a different newsagency but never had any wins so I just recently started going to the Belmore Newsagency instead,” she explained.
Belmore newsagency staff said they were thrilled for the winner.
“The team here at Belmore Newsagency are ecstatic for our customer who has won division one in the $20 million Superdraw,” they said.
“It’s amazing how one ticket can change someone’s life.
“Congratulations to the winner and all the best on your future endeavours.”
The winning numbers for draw #4687 were 22, 14, 6, 21, 9 and 3. The supps were 38 and 20.
