An air and sea search is underway for a missing swimmer who is believed to have been caught in a rip after going for a swim at Sydney's popular Bronte beach.

A multi-agency search is under way for a swimmer who got caught in a rip at a popular Sydney beach.
Emergency services were called to Bronte beach in Sydney’s east just before 8pm on Sunday after reports a man was seen in the water before failing to resurface.
Jet skis, rescue boats and a helicopter resumed a search on Monday morning after authorities failed to find the swimmer during an extensive search on Sunday night.
