Gus Lamont: Police to provide major update in disappearance of missing four-year-old Yunta boy

Police are expected to provide a major update in the search for missing four-year-old Gus Lamont, who vanished from his family’s sheep station in outback South Australia in September.

Police are expected to make a major announcement in the search for missing four-year-old Gus Lamont, who vanished from his family’s sheep station in outback South Australia.

Major Crime Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke will hold a press conference at SA Police headquarters at 1.30pm AEDT after a development into the investigation into his disappearance.

Little Gus was last seen by his grandmother playing on a mound of dirt at his family’s property 43km south of Yunta on September 27, 2025.

All available emergency services, SES, the ADF and an army of volunteers scoured the area for weeks, while drones and helicopters attempted to find traces of the young boy from above.
