Police charge woman with aggravated driving after running over a child outside hotel in Port Licoln

An elderly woman has been charged by police after she ran over a child in her car outside a hotel in South Australia.

Police are reporting that at about 5.30pm on Thursday, August 29 they were alerted to an incident at Tasman Terrace outside a hotel in Port Lincoln after reports a child had been run over by a vehicle.

The 23-month-old girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries and has since been discharged.

As a result of an investigation, an 83-year-old Port Lincoln woman was reported on Friday, September 6 for aggravated driving without due care. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
