Stabbing victim captured on CCTV pleading for help from neighbours at Devon Park, Adelaide
A stabbing victim likely owes his life to one Good Samaritan who opened his door to the bleeding man in the early hours of the morning.
The 28-year-old man with multiple stab wounds was seen on CCTV going from door to door screaming for help in Adelaide‘s inner northern suburbs about 4.30am on Monday.

When no one answered, he shuffled away with his pants around his ankles and blood pouring from his leg.
He was also heard yelling for someone to call an ambulance.
Eventually one neighbour woken by the commotion stepped in to help the injured man.
“I said ‘Just wait and I’ll call for help’,” the neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said.
“We weren’t focused on asking the details of what happened, I think we just tried to make him survive.”

The neighbour said the man’s leg was bleeding “really bad” and it also appeared he had suffered stab wounds to his chest.
Detective Acting Chief Inspector Jeff Lang said the victim owed his life to the Good Samaritan.
“Luckily he came to an address where somebody was willing to help,” he said.
“If that didn’t occur then this could have been a very different press conference.”
The man was taken to hospital in a serious condition but was now stable, Lang said.

It is believed the man was stabbed outside a business address nearby.
The victim is known to police and the incident is not believed to be random, with officers expecting more information about exactly what happened when the man is well enough to speak with them in hospital.
Anyone with any information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
