A woman has died after a ute crashed into a gate while attempting to board a ferry in South Australia.
Emergency services were called to the ferry at Lyrup on Wilson Parade, northeast of Adelaide, about 7.40am on Tuesday following reports of a crash.
Police said a Dodge ute slammed into a gate while trying to board the ferry.

However, the woman died a short time later.
The Lyrup Ferry remains closed, and motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
Investigations are underway.
The woman’s death marks the 37th life lost on South Australian roads this year.
