A wild police chase has seen a stolen 4WD shove another car out of the way, ram police vehicles and terrifyingly speed across an intersection as the driver allegedly tried to evade arrest in the South West.

Dramatic footage shows the blue Toyota LandCruiser pushing a car aside in what appears to be a driveway before a chaotic pursuit ensues, with the Toyota repeatedly slamming into police cars.

The driver can be seen going around in circles before ramming a police vehicle, then dangerously crossing an intersection and forcing oncoming traffic to stop.

At one point, the 4WD reverses into police cars before slamming into one head-on.

In later footage, it rams another vehicle, with the impact leaving a tyre behind as the pursuit continues.

Police allege a 42-year-old Carey Park man was behind the wheel of the stolen Toyota LandCruiser during the series of incidents on October 15 and 16.

The alleged crime spree began about 1am on October 15 when the blue LandCruiser was stolen from a home on Kaloorup Road in Vasse.

About 3pm that day, officers tracked the vehicle to a property on Jacksonia Street in Glen Iris near Bunbury.

Police allege the driver deliberately drove through a fence and into an unoccupied police vehicle before fleeing.

A pursuit followed, with the driver accused of failing to stop and driving recklessly, including at speed through an active school zone.

Police abandoned the chase after the LandCruiser drove onto a sandy track near Bauhinia Drive.

But the driver was spotted again about 6.05pm the following day on Wellesley Road North in Wellesley.

Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens but the driver allegedly accelerated away, sparking a second pursuit.

Police allege the driver deliberately rammed three occupied police vehicles while trying to escape.

Two officers deploying a tyre-deflation device were forced to take cover behind a large tree when the LandCruiser allegedly drove towards them.

Police successfully deflated two tyres but allege the driver continued to drive.

With help from the Police Air Wing and officers on the ground, police monitored the vehicle until it was stopped on Mungalup Road in Collie about 7.45pm.

Two other police vehicles were also damaged during attempts to stop the LandCruiser.

The 42-year-old man has been charged with multiple offences, including three counts of assault with intent to prevent arrest, four counts of criminal damage and two counts of endangering life.

He has also been charged over alleged burglaries in Davenport, Boyanup, Carey Park and Bunbury in the days before the pursuits.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on November 2.
