Sydney: British man injures 1-year-old daughter with screw to get free meal at Chinese restaurant Mr Wong
The pair were dining at a well-known restaurant at the time of the alleged incident.
A man has been charged after he allegedly injured his baby in attempt to get a free meal at a well-known restaurant.
The 24-year-old British man visited Mr Wong in Sydney, a Cantonese restaurant, on June 21 about 3.30pm with his one-year-old daughter.
He allegedly injured his child in order to make her cry and get a free meal.

After he left, staff at the restaurant contacted police, who interviewed workers and combed CCTV footage.
“Police will allege in court the man removed a screw from the chair and pressed it into the child’s leg, causing her to cry,” a police spokesperson told the Daily Telegraph.
On Monday, the man was arrested at a caravan park in Narabeen in the Northern Beaches.
He was charged with domestic violence-related common assault and dishonestly obtaining a financial advantage by deception.
Police said the man was part of a group often referred to as “travellers”: visitors from the UK who travel around Australia in caravans.
The man is known to have used several aliases in the past.
He is due to face court on July 15.
Mr Wong was unable to comment on the incident as the matter is before the court.
