Sydney hotel: 68-year-old man arrested after allegedly performing nazi salute and refusing to move on

A 68-year-old man has been charged after allegedly performing a nazi salute and refusing to leave a city hotel.

Officers were flagged down by a security guard in the Sydney CBD around 7.10pm on Friday and were informed that the man had allegedly performed Nazi salutes inside the venue and refused to comply when asked to leave.

Officers entered the Pitt St hotel where an arrest was made.

The 68-year-old was taken to Day Street Police Station.

He was charged with several offences, including knowingly displaying a nazi symbol in public without excuse, making a Nazi salute in a public place, and failing to leave the premises when required.

The 68-year-old was refused bail and is set to appear before Parramatta Local Court Saturday.
