Sydney commuters are facing a messy Tuesday morning journey as urgent overhead wiring repairs at Chatswood trigger train cancellations and reduced services across parts of the network.
Passengers travelling on the T1 North Shore Line have been warned to allow extra travel time, with services running less frequently while repair crews work to fix the issue.
The disruption is affecting services through Chatswood, with passengers potentially required to change trains at Central or North Sydney to continue their journey.

Commuters have also been advised they can use Sydney Metro as an alternative between the city and Chatswood while the disruption continues.
The issue is also causing some changes at Central, with a number of trains travelling away from the city departing from Intercity platforms.
Repair crews are already on site, with work expected to be completed by 10am.
Passengers have been urged to check information screens and transport apps before boarding, listen for station announcements and leave additional time for their morning commute.
The disruption comes during the busy Tuesday morning peak, potentially affecting thousands of workers and students travelling into and across the city.
Transport authorities have not yet confirmed what caused the overhead wiring issue.
Services are expected to gradually return to normal once repairs at Chatswood have been completed, however passengers should continue checking for updates as cancellations and last-minute stopping changes may continue throughout the morning.
