Teenagers injured in Collingwood shooting as police search for gunman

An armed gunman is on the run after two teenagers were shot in Collingwood, Melbourne.

A gunman is on the run after two teens were seriously injured in a shooting in Melbourne.

A group of youths were gathered on Palmer St in Collingwood, about 3km northeast of Melbourne’s CBD, when several shots were fired at them about 1am on Friday.

A short time later, a 15-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy were found with gunshot wounds.

The pair, both from Collingwood, were rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are now working to establish the circumstances around the shooting, and anybody with information or footage of the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
