A teenager who was stabbed to death with a machete in Victoria’s Gippsland region has been remembered as a “beautiful young boy”.

Kaiden Morgan was found seriously injured on The Boulevard in Morwell about 10.25pm on Saturday.

7NEWS understands the 18-year-old was involved in an altercation with a group of people who were known to him and was stabbed several times.

He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

Police also found a 20-year-old man around the corner on Gillies St with non-life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital.

Morgan was a proud Indigenous man who had only just turned 18 three months ago.

Family and friends paid tribute to him online calling him an “warrior” and “an inspiration for the next gen”.

“Kaiden Morgan was such a beautiful young boy with a big heart and a lot of respect,” one person wrote.

Another wrote: “Every person needs a Kaiden in their life.”

A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested in relation to Morgan’s death.

They are expected to be interviewed and investigations remain ongoing.
