Two young men die after suspicious house fire

Police are investigating the cause of a suspicious house fire that claimed the lives of two 18-year-old men in north Queensland.

Two young men have died following a suspicious house fire in north Queensland.

Emergency services rushed to the Townsville property on Friday after the blaze erupted at 3pm.

Firefighters ran in to save two 18-year-old men who were inside.

Both suffered serious injuries and died in hospital.

Two other men were at the home but were not injured.

Police consider the fire to be suspicious, and are appealing for anyone with CCTV or video from Chandler Street, Garbutt, about the time of the blaze to come forward.
