Urgent recall at Woolworths, Coles, IGA after glass found in Fehlbergs Pickled Sliced Jalapenos Chilli Medley

A product sold in Coles, Woolworths and IGA stores across Australia is being urgently pulled from shelves and consumers have been warned to not to eat it after glass was detected.
Authorities have issued an urgent recall for Riviana Foods’ Fehlbergs Pickled Sliced Jalapenos Chilli Medley, 470g, warning consuming the product could cause illness or injury.
In its alert, Food Standards Australia and New Zealand said the recall affects products with the best before date of 30/04/2028.

A spokesperson for the company said the recall applied only to the specified batch and all other products in its range were unaffected.
“The safety and wellbeing of our consumers is our highest priority, and we are working closely with retailers and the relevant food authorities to ensure affected stock is removed from sale as quickly as possible,” they said.
“Consumers are advised not to consume the product and to follow the recall instructions available on the FSANZ website.”
Fehlbergs is an Australian-owned company established in the early 1980s, manufacturing pickled onions, cucumbers and jalapenos.
