Craigieburn: Police vision shows broad daylight shooting filmed by gunman in Melbourne’s outer suburbs

CCTV footage of a brazen broad daylight shooting has seemingly captured a gunman filming on his phone as he fires shots into a home.

CCTV footage of a man firing shots into a home in Melbourne’s outer suburbs - seemingly filming the brazen act on his phone - has been released by police.

Shots were fired into a home on Elmwood Place, Craigieburn at about 1pm on October 24 last year, in what police are investigating as a “targeted incident”.

Footage shows a black Land Rover pull up near some wheelie bins before a man wearing black shoes, black and grey tracksuit pants, a black hoodie and a balaclava steps out of the vehicle.

The man takes a few steps away from the car before he raises a gun in one hand and a phone in the other, seemingly filming as he fires at least three shots.

The person then hops back into the waiting Range Rover before it speeds away.

Victoria Police said nobody was home at the time of the shooting.

“Investigators have released vision in the hope that someone with information will come forward,” police said.
