Elderly man’s body found in Alfredton home after ‘disturbance’ in Ballarat’s east

A homicide investigation is underway after reports of a disturbance led police to a home in Ballarat’s east, Victoria.

A 70-year-old man was found dead inside the home on Wensleydale Dr at Alfredton at about 9am.

A second man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was also at the scene.

He is assisting police with the investigation.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the man’s death are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing,” Victoria Police said.
