A woman has been found dead inside a home in regional Victoria.

Victoria police confirmed homicide detectives are investigating the death of a woman in Cobram, on the Victorian border, on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to an address on Campbell Road in the regional town about 2.15pm where they found a woman deceased inside.

The woman is yet to be formally identified.

“Police are working to establish the exact circumstances around the death and the investigation remains ongoing,” a spokeswoman for Victoria Police said.

A 39-year-old Cobram man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.

The parties are believed to be known to each other.

The death comes days after 28-year-old mother Molly Ticehurst was found dead in her central NSW home.
