Jetstar is launching a new route between Victoria’s Avalon Airport and Queensland with fares on sale from $95 to celebrate.

The brand-new service between Avalon and Brisbane launched on Friday and the Airbus A320 will provide more than 2500 seats each week between the two destinations.

This will be Jetstar’s third route from Avalon Airport, joining flights to the Gold Coast and Sydney.

To celebrate the launch, Jetstar has one-way fares on the new route from $95.

Avalon Airport is Victoria’s second international airport and is 45 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD.

“Creating a direct link between Melbourne Avalon Airport and Brisbane will provide even more options for Victorians wanting to travel to Queensland at an affordable price, as well as boost tourism to the beautiful Surf Coast region and surrounds,” Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully said.

“We know how much Victorians love to head north, especially during winter, and we’re looking forward to giving them a new direct link to the Sunshine State.

“We thank the Victorian Government and Melbourne Avalon Airport for their continued support of low fares travel.”
