Burnside Heights: Homicide detectives investigate fatal shooting in quiet northwest Melbourne suburb

The gunman is on the run after killing a man in Burnside Heights.

A man has been shot dead in Melbourne’s north-west and a homicide investigation is under way.

Emergency workers were called to a home on Tenterfield Drive in Burnside Heights about 9.10pm on Friday following reports of a man suffering a gunshot wound.

Police said the man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
