Nine teenagers have been charged over an alleged string of violent carjackings across several suburbs.
Nine teenagers have been charged over an alleged string of carjackings across Melbourne’s north earlier this month.
Police allege the group was involved in a series of carjackings in Coburg, Fawkner, Hadfield, Campbellfield, Mickleham and Wallan between July 1 and 10.
Following an investigation, detectives from the Fawkner Divisional Response unit executed a series of search warrants between July 22 and 28, arresting the teenagers.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.During the raids, officers allegedly seized a stolen vehicle, drugs, tasers, an incorrectly stored firearm, as well as peptides and steroids.
The boys, aged between 15 and 17, all from Melbourne’s northern suburbs, have been charged with a combined 61 offences, including aggravated carjackings, carjacking, discharge firearm, affray and intentionally cause injury.
All nine teenagers have been remanded in custody and will face a children’s court at a later date.
