It is understood two men who stopped to help were also injured in the attack.

A police spokeswoman said they were told the woman was pushing a pram with a toddler when she was approached by three dogs and attacked just after 3pm.

“During the attack, the woman managed to roll the pram and the child was not injured.”

“Police assisted local (council) officers and all dogs have been seized.”

7NEWS is reporting it captured two of the dogs roaming free on the street on Friday.

A member of a local Facebook group posted a photo of three dogs they claimed were responsible for the attack.

Hume City Council CEO Sheena Frost said the council was aware of the dog attack.

“Council officers are actively working with Victoria Police on this matter and Council is unable to comment any further at this time,” she said.

“All dogs have been removed from the premises.

‘Our thoughts are with the people who were injured, and we wish them a swift and full recovery.”
