Officers asked the man to step out of the car’s passenger seat when he allegedly damaged its external mirror.

“Police will allege the man became aggressive and spat at an officer before a taser was deployed,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

Footage taken by a passerby shows the man stumbling towards police before an officer discharges the weapon, striking him in the torso.

But instead of going down, the man instead pulled one of the wires out while turning around to walk away from police, all while being shocked with as many as 50,000 volts.

He was then finally brought to his knees when a second discharge struck his shoulder, as police surrounded and arrested him with locals watching on from nearby homes.

The man, of no fixed address, was charged with one count each of criminal damage and assaulting police.
