Woman attacked with machete during attempted carjacking at petrol station in Dandenong, Melbourne
A woman has been attacked with a machete during a terrifying attempted carjacking at a petrol station.
The 29-year-old was putting petrol in her car at a BP service station on the Princes Hwy near Potter St in Dandenong, Melbourne, at about 6.30pm on Sunday when a white Ford EcoSport with no number plates pulled up behind her.
She went inside to pay and upon returning to her car was confronted by three men, one of whom was armed with a machete.

When the woman resisted police say a “scuffle” broke out and she was struck in the arm with the machete.
The offenders fled in the white Ford while the woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

All three men have been described as Caucasian aged between 14 and 20 years.
One of the offenders wore a black hoodie with the hood up, tan coloured trousers, white socks and black thongs with a white Nike logo.
Another person wore a grey hoodie with the hood up and draw strings tied across his face, a dark-coloured face mask, dark-coloured cap, black puffer vest, black trousers, black socks and striped Adidas thongs.
The third person wore a light coloured/grey hoodie with the hood up, a dark-coloured beanie, grey tracksuit pants and white runners.
Police said there was a fourth offender who remained in the car while the incident took place.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
