It’s the northern suburbs’ turn on Thursday to welcome Starbucks to town.

Massive lines of cars and people marked the opening of the international coffee chain’s first drive-through store in Perth in October when it opened south of the river at Piara Waters.

The Clarkson drive-through store will open on Thursday at 5am and the company is doing everything to be ready for what it expects to be a repeat of the “overwhelming success” of Piara Waters.

Starbucks said its Piara Waters opening surpassed Hong Kong Disneyland as the largest Starbucks store opening ever in the Asia Pacific region.

Clarkson will showcase Starbucks’ Christmas offerings which include new merch and seasonal favourites such as gingerbread latte, peppermint mocha and toffee crunch.

The drinks giant has previously touted its WA push will create more than 200 jobs and revealed 65 baristas had been hired for its WA stores.

It has also partnered with local suppliers such as Brownes Dairy and Morley-based Little Home Bakery.

A slew of metropolitan developments intended to include Starbucks cafes have been passed in recent months, including drive-throughs in Bayswater and Hammond Park.

The Clarkson Starbucks at the corner of Key Largo Drive and Neerabup Road will be open weekdays 5am to 8pm and on weekends from 6am to 8pm.

Politics is polarised. The PM and his supporters believe this is a good government. Maybe he’s right.
