On Tuesday his lawyer made a case for house arrest with the promise of $1 million cash for bail surety.
But a magistrate delayed her final decision to review extra dashcam footage that allegedly shows the accused driving erratically, speeding and making several angry rants about his wife in the lead-up to the crash, which claimed the life of Elizabeth Pearce, 24.

Bellinge is accused of driving 130km/h in a 50km/h zone while almost four times over the legal blood alcohol limit.
A 25-year-old Uber driver suffered two broken femurs and a broken arm in the crash, and has a long recovery ahead.
Friends have told 7NEWS that Pearce was a kind, funny and ambitious young woman who had career goals in marine mining.
“She was always just so nice and would always check in on you,” friend Tara Rogers told 7NEWS.
“It’s just so sad and just a big loss.”
The crash site has become a makeshift memorial, with even strangers saying they’ve been affected by the tragedy.

Bellinge spent Tuesday night immobile in a hospital bed with a serious spinal fracture.
He will remain in hospital when he faces a third bedside hearing on Wednesday.
