Driver killed as ute and truck collide in Binningup, in WA’s southwest

A man has died in a morning smash involving a truck in WA’s South West on Wednesday.

A white Isuzu D-MAX utility and a white Volvo truck collided at Taranto Rd and Forrest Hwy in Binningup just before 10am.

The D-MAX driver, 69, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

The 66-year-old truck driver was uninjured.

The Major Crash team is examining the scene as part of its investigation.

Forrest Hwy northbound between Marriott Rd and Taranto Rd is closed.

Drivers have been told to find alternative routes.
