Homicide detectives investigate death of man in Baldivis, Perth

There was a major response from emergency services on Bramall Tce in Baldivis, south of Perth, about 6.40pm on Tuesday.

A man has died in a suspected stabbing at his home, leaving neighbours in his suburb rattled and homicide detectives trying to work out exactly what happened.

There was a major response from emergency services on Bramall Tce in Baldivis, in Perth’s south, about 6.40pm on Tuesday, following reports of a serious incident.

On arrival, they found a 49-year-old man with critical injuries.

Neighbours said he was taken on a stretcher to an ambulance.

He was then rushed to Rockingham Hospital where he later died.

“It was a little bit scary seeing all the police and everything,” Kara Harding told 7NEWS.

“I’ve got kids, so yeah it was a bit scary, like, what’s happening in our neighborhood?”

Another shocked local said he heard “lots of cop cars”.

“It’s very concerning, very scary, especially having two young ones and there’s lots of school kids, this is really close to schools,” he said.

A 45-year-old woman known to the man is assisting homicide squad detectives with their inquiries.

No charges have been laid and the home remains taped off, with the investigation ongoing.
