The West Australian understands both men sustained serious injuries after they were crushed by a brick wall several metres high.

There was a heavy police presence at the home on Thursday afternoon, with at least a dozen officers on the scene as officers cordoned off the home and attempted to begin piecing together what led to the incident.

People outside the home were seen hugging as they learned of the incident and spoke to police.

Several firefighters were also at the scene.

Sexton Road has been blocked off at its intersection with India Road and Walter Road West.

WorkSafe has been alerted too and is investigating the incident.

The construction union, CFMEU are also at the worksite.
