One lucky Australian has had their life changed forever after securing the entirety of Powerball’s $30 million jackpot on Thursday.

The ticket, purchased in Western Australia, was the only division one winner in the country.

Lotterywest confirmed the ticket was bought in Perth and is a single-entry ticket.

It is the state’s biggest top division win since October 2024, when workmates shared an identical $30m Powerball prize.

“I’m sure plenty of West Aussies have holiday plans booked for the Easter weekend, but if you had a ticket in tonight’s draw, make sure to check it because you might be able to extend your holiday,” Lotterywest spokesperson Sarah Dawson said.

The winning numbers were 34, 17, 35, 27, 30, 14, and 32. The Powerball was 17.

“Oh my god, that’s so good. This changes our lives. We’ve been trying to get our first home, so this will do that,” one winner from Bribie Island said.

“Unbelievable! My heart is racing.”
