Safety Bay stabbing: Homicide squad investigating after man dies from stab wound

Homicide squad detectives have been called in to investigate a deadly stabbing in WA overnight.

Police said they were called to a home on Port Royal Drive in Safety Bay, south of Perth, about 11.45pm on Tuesday in relation to an incident in which a man was “seriously injured”.

St John WA were also called to the scene.

The man, who police are yet to identify, was found with an injury consistent with a stab wound.

He was rushed to Rockingham General Hospital but died a short time later.

Police said a man was “assisting with the investigation” and there are no concerns for public safety.
