Shoalwater man charged over alleged burnout stunt at Oakford site where Jady Turner killed a day earlier
A young man has been charged over an alleged hooning stunt just minutes after he had paid tribute to a friend who died in a car crash in Perth’s southeast.
Police claim the 22-year-old Shoalwater man has never held a licence and had his 11-month-old son in the car when he did a burnout on Thomas Rd in Oakford on Sunday afternoon.

Police, who allege a teen boy and a woman in her 20s were also in the car, described the incident as “beyond disappointing” and “idiotic”.
The accused had joined friends to lay flowers for 22-year-old Jady Turner.
Turner was killed on the same road when a Holden Commodore he was driving clipped an oversized vehicle convoy and crashed head-first into a rear pilot vehicle early on Saturday.
In relation to Sunday’s alleged hooning, police have seized a Holden Statesman as part of their investigation and charged the 22-year-old with reckless driving and no authority to drive.
The accused will appear in court on November 22.
