Sadly, the Kawasaki rider had suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash just after 7am on Thursday and could not be saved.

The 55-year-old driver of the car, a Nissan X-Trail, was uninjured and is assisting authorities, WA Police said.

Major Crash officers have launched an investigation and anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers.

The incident comes amid a spate of motorbike rider deaths in WA.

Among them is Rhysean Lee, who was killed in a crash on Perth’s Kwinana Fwy as he headed home from work last week.
