Eagles star Jeremy McGovern tied the knot with his long-time partner Madison Williams in a lavish wedding down south.

The 32-year-old AFL legend has had an outstanding year, receiving his fifth All-Australian jacket, winning his first John Worsfold Medal as West Coast’s club champion and capping it off by marrying his high school sweetheart.

The ceremony took place at the picturesque Amelia Park Farm in Vasse near Busselton at the weekend, with fellow Eagles players and their partners on the guest list.

In a video posted to Instagram, the Albany-raised couple were seen holding hands as family and friends cheered them on for the special day.

Williams looked glowing in a traditional white strapless gown, while McGovern was dashing in a black tuxedo and bow tie.

Another video showed the new husband and wife dancing on a crowded outdoor dance floor.

The couple also posed for a sweet photo with McGovern’s brother Mitch and his wife Kirsten.

Some of the other Eagles stars in attendance included Chris Masten, Luke Shuey, Jack Darling, Jamie Cripps, Liam Duggan, Dom Sheed, Tommy Cole, Josh Kennedy and Josh Rotham.

McGovern missed most of 2023 after he tore his hamstring tendon during the Western Derby in round three and didn’t return until round 17.

The 2018 premiership star re-signed until the end of 2025 and while he has stepped away from vice-captaincy, he remains one of the best intercept defenders in the competition.

He made his AFL debut with West Coast in 2014.
