Wollert: 80-year-old man charged with murder of woman found dead in Melbourne home
An 80-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman’s body was found inside a home in Melbourne’s north.
Emergency services rushed to a property on Saltlake Boulevard at Wollert following reports a 77-year-old woman was found unresponsive about 6.30am on Sunday.
The woman was declared dead at the scene.

A police spokesman said detectives charged a Wollert man at the scene with murder.
“The parties were known to each other,” a spokesman said.
The man is due to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.
Police urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
